Located just south of Cancun, Tres Ríos is an exclusive eco retreat in the heart of the Riviera Maya. Located on 326 pristine acres of jungle, mangrove forest and coastal dunes, Tres Ríos is home to three natural rivers, ten cenotes (freshwater springs) and a sandy white beach.
When completed, the Tres Ríos master plan will include five hotels with more than 1,700 suites, full- and part-time residences, a world-class marina and yacht club, an equestrian center, a premium spa, beach club, convention center, an estuary and nature park complete with a visitor center, Mayan cultural center, estuary bird sanctuary and botanical garden. Tres Ríos’ name derives from the crystal clear rivers that flow through the mangrove trees. It is the only resort on the Yucatan Peninsula to contain natural rivers rather than channels and consists of three ecosystems: lush jungle, mangrove forests and coastal dune, each with its own wildlife and vegetation creating a totally unique landscape. A total of 120 species of plants and more than 90 animal species await travelers.

About 150 acres of land will be maintained as a reserve with little-to-no development to ensure the perfect balance of human enjoyment while protecting the greatest natural resources. The Mexican government recently recognized Tres Ríos for being at the fore of environmental stewardship.
- Since July 2008, Hacienda Tres Ríos is also par t of the Rainforest Alliance Program for Best Practices in Sustainable Tourism Management.
- In March 2009 Hacienda Tres Ríos received the prestigious Green Globe certification for its recognized sustainable tourism and environmental protection practices.

From Cancun International Airport
The estimated driving time from Cancun International Airport to Hacienda Tres Ríos is 45 minutes approximately 27 miles. There is only one exit road from Cancun Airport. As you leave the Airport, take the on-ramp to your right, which approaches coastal highway 307 and leads to the Riviera Maya. The sign reads Playa del Carmen and/or Tulum, Chetumal. This highway takes you to all points south of the Riviera Maya including Hacienda Tres Rios. The large resort sign is on the left side of the road.
From Downtown Cancun (Cancun Centro)
The estimated driving time from downtown Cancun, or El Centro, to Hacienda Tres Ríos is 60 minutes with a distance of 36 miles. Exit Cancun’s city center following the signs to Playa del Carmen and/or Tulum, Chetumal, which is coastal highway 307. This highway leads south to Playa del Carmen and takes you to all points south of the Riviera Maya, including Hacienda Tres Rios. The large resort sign is on the left side of the road.
From Playa del Carmen
Playa del Carmen is only 15 minutes south of Hacienda Tres Ríos with a distance of 9 miles. Take coastal highway 307 north towards Cancun. The large resort sign is on the right side of the road.
